INSPIRATION (Giving direction to your day) - OLA AINA

TESTIMONY OF CONSCIENCE

Text: “For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not.” 1 Cor 1:12

I personally want to thank God for a tender conscience that God by his Spirit has built in so many of us. This is the reason why when we do things that are wrong we don’t feel convenient about it. The conscience is the inner monitoring of our spirit that keeps us in check and under control. When the conscience of a man or woman is no longer working it becomes easier to succumb to any evil and even approve of it.

The testimony of our conscience is the inner voice telling you what is right and approving what is right per time. As you are reading this material now your conscience is judging you on an issue. You know so many things about yourself that nobody knows. Your conscience is the inner policeman putting a constraint on you each time you want to take a wrong step. When the conscience is working right it encourages us to do that which is right. In that case you don’t even have to be told. If you are doing what is wrong and you don’t even have any feelings about it then something is wrong with your conscience. What is your conscience telling you about your relationship with the opposite sex?

What is your conscience telling you about how you are treating your spouse? What is your conscience telling you about your attitude to work in your office? It’s so important that each one of us pay close attention to what our conscience is saying. This will go a long way to keep us away from trouble. So many wrong steps will be avoided as we listen carefully to the testimony of our conscience.
The conscience becomes a sure guide as we expose our hearts to the word of God and the Holy Spirit keeps working upon us. We all need a tender and sensitive conscience.

PRAYER:
Lord I declare that my conscience is free from everything that defiles.
