BERGER LONG BRIDGE: A TRUE LIFE STORY!

This is a True Life Experience of a sister! Please, share and repost, let it go viral until the right authorities get it.
BERGER LONG BRIDGE: A HAVEN FOR BANDITS, A DEATH TRAP FOR UNSUSPECTING COMMUTERS.

Driving in and out of Lagos the Long Bridge remains strategic because it either gives you the feeling that one has finally reached the metropolis when driving into Lagos or one has indeed commenced the journey when driving out. Besides the long stretch surrounded by bushes on both sides with overflowing flood at the peak of rainy season, unavailability  of street lights and security operatives, activities that take place under the bridge tend to surpass the road usage. As common in many under bridges inbetween Lagos & Ogun states the long Bridge exceptionally harbors innumerable groups of men of the underground world. Popular for its notoriety the bridge houses a variety of unscrupulous personalities ranging from ritualist, criminals, druggist, rapist, fraudsters, looters, armed robbers, car snatchers to mention a few. The series of unpleasant experiences I have heard of people were before now more like  fairy tales until my wife fell prey to the marauding beasts operating in that axis. Her ordeal recorded on the 19th of January 2016 at about 8am while driving to work outwards Lagos was like a scene in the Nigerian home video that anyone could criticize as being incredulous considering the series of events that happened in a very short moment.

She had just gotten on the Long Bridge after Opic towards Wawa when the car suddenly started slowing down apparently the alternator was not charging the battery. She veered off the fast unto the service lane and had to stop midway on the bridge in order to put a call through to me and her brother informing us of the situation and equally alerted her friends on Ecclessia in case anyone was anywhere close by for help. While it was drizzling she flagged down several vehicles that sped off until a woman that drove passed finally pulled over to assist and while she was reversing coincidentally some two dreadful looking guys came out from under the bridge to attack so she zoomed off .
Alone with the two thieves, they stole, harassed, beat and threatened to stab her with a knife just by the roadside on the bridge and vehicles were passing by oh my Nigeria! When have we suddenly become insensitive to evil? A woman being harassed by thieves and we just drive past? Very sad!!! This wasn't the state of things I met growing up as a child. However, our God is a just God. He won't forsake His own, while one of the thieves was ransacking the car for items he could readily carry away, the other was struggling & threatening my wife with a knife trying to abuse her as she struggled her life out.

God was with her and at the nick of time, a good Nigerian in person of Barrister Jide OLOGUN pulled over to rescue her then one of these buses that travels to the east also pulled over and the driver ran out with his fire extinguisher to pursue the bandits but they ran away and jumped back under the bridge like rabbits into their hollows then my wife was finally rescued. Apparently our Good Nigerian had driven passed in speed when he observed my wife was stranded but made a U - turn as he got off the bridge back to Lagos and took a detour at Opic just to rescue her although before he got to the spot she had been attacked however that shows that we still have good Nigerians. God bless you sir, in the process of trying to tow my wife's car his brand new Murano jeep was bashed badly by a truck full of rocks in a multiple accident that occurred on the same spot yet he was not deterred...hmmm rare gem indeed yet he still got my wife to safety.

I want to specially thank everyone who stood by us and came to the call of rescue during the incidence. The Ecclesia family -KC Deji and Boluwatiwi...you all rock!! Niyi Olorunyomi and AVCU NIFESS Alumni and my dear Dotun...A brother in law that sticks closer than a brother. My wives colleague's, family, friends and pastors...God bless you all. We love and appreciate you. As for that notorious bridge it is high time our government paid attention to the horrendous activities going on within and around that bridge, some persons have been killed, several people attacked and left with serious injuries. If the activities on that bridge are not checked it may grow up to become a huge monster. Our dear government, please come to our aid we need security patrol on that bridge. These bandits live and hide under that bridge, is not too much of a task to be done. HELP OO. LIFE HAS NO DUPLICATE.
