INSPIRATION (Giving direction to your day) - OLA AINA

STRONG IN GRACE

Text: “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Tim 2:1

Grace is never an excuse to fold our arms and be lazy. Grace is actually a divine enablement that empowers our weaknesses and human frailties to do more and be more. When grace is at work we’ll find ourselves going beyond the ordinary and breaking the limits that life will place on us.

Paul ordinarily was not supposed to be one of the Apostles. He was never an eye witness of the life and sacrifice of Jesus. He was also someone who stood in opposition to the gospel. But grace found him out. Grace literally placed him above his superiors that came long before him. When grace is at work age will not be a barrier; level of education will not be a limiting factor. Grace located David in the field when he was not considered qualified to be tested for the throne. Grace placed him on the throne.

To be strong in grace means to be heavily conscious of it and dependent on the grace of God. It’s something we need to reach out for every day. The grace of God is inexhaustible. The fullness of grace in Christ is made available for us. Don’t ever get to the point of depending on your efforts alone to make headway in life. The strongest of us all has a weak point that will only require the grace of God to handle it.
With the grace of God the mountains of life are surmountable. We can go over the hill and pull down the barriers.  The grace of God is a divine empowerment that works in our spirit and then flows to every area of our lives. Grace will cloth you, grace will put food on your table, grace will get you married, grace will put you on the throne, grace will exempt you from evil, grace will drive out your adversaries.  Stay very conscious of his grace this year. Work very hard but don’t depend on it; depend on the grace God.

CONFESSION:
The grace of God is at work in me and at work on my behalf. It’s finding expression in everything I do.
