MY MOTHER INLAW IS MY HEADACHE!

Dear TOLD Readers, How do you handle a nagging mother (inlaw), or how will you handle one? Kemi is finding things very difficult with her mother inlaw and needs help! My name is Kemi, have being married for 4 years now am 35 years old. Am a fashion designer based in Lagos.

I met my husband 6 years ago, we got married 2 years after. His mum was never in support of our marriage because she wanted me pregnant before marriage. That wasn't my plan in anyway because I always wanted to do marriage right, and my husband insisted We it right too. But it wasn't easy dealing with her before marriage as she kept reminding me I have to be pregnant. Finally we got married.  I thought thing will be right after marriage, But thing became worse as till now am yet to be pregnant.

My mother inlaw come to our house at will an rain abuses on me, how I've sold all my children to the devil so I could marry her son. Sometimes she say I've aborted all the children am suppose to have. I have never had a moment of peace since I married my husband, especially whenever she comes around. My husband makes matters worse as he can't caution his mum, she embarrasses me anywhere she sees me.

I've pleaded with my husband we should move from our present location as its close to his mum, and that's the reason she comes at anytime to say what she says. But he says no because he doesn't want to be far from his family. She visits my shop just to abuse me, she has gone to inform my parents she will torment me till I gave her children and not just children but sons. I don't know what to do anymore, I've ignored for too long and its eating me up. The doctor says my husband and myself are medically ok. Please, how do I handle my mother inlaw without being rude or insultive as my husband is not ready to handle this matter.
