RISING ABOVE HURTS AND DISAPPOINTMENTS
My greatest joy is that people are finally finding themselves learning from what we have been sharing.
Often times we blame an isolated event for our misfortune when the real issues have never been handled. Until the issue of your humanity is settled there is no way you won’t keep complaining about the things you have permitted. In my study of the top 40billionaires in the world one thing I consistently noticed about all of them is that they all pursued their passion without seeking to get anyone’s permission. The greatest tragedy I have observed in Africa is that people are not able to pursue what is deeply dear to their heart because someone they respect has not approved or yet caught the vision & that mentality has deprived our continent of several innovations that could have shaped the world because how do we live right when we can’t even think right? And that leads me to the next attribute of a human being;
- A human being must be free to pursue his passion without any restriction – God has placed eternity in our hearts & in that eternity are innovations that the world has never experienced before and sometimes your mentor may not even understand your passion because it may be above what he feels would add value to the world. I am sure quite a number of mentors in Africa would have discouraged Mark Zuckerberg and even Bill Gates about their invention because of the fear of the anti-Christ & the google boys may not have seen the light of the day because it doesn’t look godly on the surface. What is your passion and what is hindering your passion?
Mark Zuckerberg was asked why he wears the same shirt everyday & his response brought tears to my eyes ‘I really want to clear my life so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community. “I’m in this really lucky position where I get to wake up every day and help serve more than 1bn people, and I feel like I’m not doing my job if I spend any of my energy on things that are silly or frivolous about my life, so that way I can dedicate all of my energy towards just building the best products and services.”
I honour you
