CALLED ALONE
Text: “Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you:
for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.” Isa 51:2
The journey of life will be smoother and less stressful when we
understand that the journey is an individual journey. God made us alone for a
unique purpose and place in life. Even though we’ll walk along others and will
require their input life still remains an individual race.
If we understand this it means that the route that we’ll follow in
life will be different. Obviously because where we are going in life is
different. It will therefore be a big mistake if I insist in following the same
route with my friends.
Things may happen faster for a colleague, that does not mean am out
of the race. In the journey of life the race is not actually to the fastest.
It’s possible to be the fastest on a wrong lane. The most important thing is
that you are on the right lane that God wants you to be and you are going at
the required speed that God determines for you alone.
The desire to see things happen in our lives in the same way it
happened for someone else could be frustrating. We must be blessed in life but
it does not have to happen exactly the same way it happened for someone that
you know. God has a million ways of reaching out to us. We must be confident
enough in God to allow him to work in our lives the way he has chosen to do it.
If you study carefully you’ll notice that the journey of Abraham was
different from the journey of David, different from the journey of Job,
different from the journey of Daniel. Each one of them was called alone. The
bottom line is that they all ended in God’s ultimate purpose and plans for
their lives.
PRAYER:
I receive grace to walk in God’s ordained plan and purpose for my
life.
