INSPIRATION (Giving direction to your day) - OLA AINA

  NOTHING CAN STOP YOU 1

Text: But none of these things move me, neither count my life dear unto myself, so that I may finish my course....” Act 20:24

Let’s state from the onset of this series that many things in life will try to stop the fulfilment of God’s counsels for our lives. For some it will be lack of finance. For some it will be poor self esteem. For some it will be hatred of men. For some it will be health issues.  For Joseph it was the hatred of his brothers. For Naomi it was the death of her husband and her two sons. For Abraham and Sarah it was delayed conception. This will happen to all of us in different ways and shape. By saying nothing will stop you does not mean there won’t be attempts to stop you. Every day something or someone is trying to work against your progress in life. However it must become your revelation and understanding as a believer that nothing can stop you. In this series we’ll study the life of individuals who ordinarily speaking would have been stopped from becoming all they were meant to become.

Paul had one of the most powerful encounters with God. His conversion was so dramatic. He had revelations of Jesus that were far beyond what his contemporaries had and even the Apostles that were before him. In spite of this he had issues with the Jews. There were several attempts to kill him and stop what God wanted to do through him. In Acts 20:23 he said “...In every city bonds and afflictions are waiting for me.”  The oppositions on his life were fierce. At the end of it all none of these stopped Paul from accomplishing his purpose. He finished his course and completed his race.
From our anchor scripture Paul had a resolve “But none of this things move me...” It was a decision on his part not to be moved by the circumstances around his life. If you are easily moved you will never go far. “Move” means to be discouraged and affected by what is happening around you.

PRAYER:
In the name of Jesus I refuse to be moved. I refuse to be discouraged by the circumstances of life.
